Spider Control in Brossard, the South Shore and Greater Montreal

A few spiders is just life in Quebec. Webs that come back every week on the porch, spiders in the basement and around every window is an imbalance: your home is feeding too many insects, and the spiders follow the buffet. We treat both problems at once.

Signs of a spider problem

  • Webs that keep coming back

Around light fixtures, windows, under eaves and on the porch. You clean them off, they rebuild in two days.

  • Egg sacs

Small whitish silk balls in window corners and ceiling joints. Each sac holds dozens of eggs.

  • Spiders in the basement and closets

Dark, undisturbed spaces are their favourite winter quarters.

  • A population that explodes in late summer

August and September are peak season: spiders are mature and insects swarm around the lights.

Why they're at your place

Spiders go where the food is. Outdoor lights attract insects at night, insects attract spiders, and the cracks around windows and doors do the rest. A lot near water or woods, common on the South Shore, amplifies the effect.

Our treatment process

  1. 1

    Inspection

We identify the species present, the webbing zones and the insect sources feeding them.

  2. 2

    Treatment plan

We propose a plan, usually focused on the exterior: that's where the problem starts.

  3. 3

    Treatment

Perimeter treatment of eaves, window frames and webbing zones, with removal of webs and egg sacs.

  4. 4

    Follow-up

We check that the pressure has dropped and adjust as needed with the season.

  5. 5

    Guarantee

Written guarantee on the treatment. If it comes back during the covered period, so do we.

Why deal with it

Most Quebec spiders are harmless, but an exploding population almost always signals a surplus of insects in or around the house. Every egg sac left in place means dozens more spiders in spring. Treating now means not starting over every year.

Spiders follow the insects. If you're seeing a lot of them, also look at our pages on ants and wasps. For local service, see our exterminator in Brossard page.

Frequently asked questions

Are Quebec spiders dangerous?

Almost never. Bites are rare and most local species are harmless to humans. The issue is mostly comfort, and what it signals: lots of spiders means lots of insects.

Why treat the exterior?

Because that's where it all happens: spiders settle under the eaves and around light fixtures, then come in through cracks. A treated perimeter knocks the population down outside before it gets in.

When is the best time to treat?

Spring and early summer give the best preventive results, ahead of the August peak. But a treatment done at any time reduces the population quickly.

Can't I just sweep the webs away myself?

Removing webs helps, but changes nothing about the cause. As long as insects are plentiful and the access points stay open, spiders rebuild. The treatment goes after the source.
