Mice and Rat Extermination in Brossard, the South Shore and Greater Montreal
Noises in the walls at night, droppings in the cupboards: rodents don't just annoy you. They gnaw, contaminate and multiply fast. We find where they get in, eliminate them and make sure they don't come back.
Signs of a mouse or rat infestation
Droppings
Small black rice-shaped pellets in cupboards, under the sink, along walls. The most reliable sign there is.
Noises at night
Scratching or scurrying in walls, ceilings or the attic, especially once the house goes quiet.
Gnawed materials
Punctured food packaging, chewed electrical wires, teeth marks on wood or plastic.
A urine smell
A persistent ammonia odour in closed spaces means established activity.
Nests
Shredded paper, insulation or fabric in dark corners: behind appliances, in the garage or the attic.
Why they come inside
In fall, mice look for warmth and food. A gap the size of a dime is all they need. Foundation cracks, worn door sweeps, poorly sealed vents: every house has weak points, and rodents find them before you do.
Our treatment process
- 1
Inspection
We do a full walkaround: entry points, runways, droppings, nests. We identify the species, because mice and rats aren't treated the same way.
- 2
Treatment plan
We show you what we found and explain the plan and price. Sealing entry points is part of the conversation.
- 3
Treatment
Locked bait stations and traps placed where they work, out of reach of kids and pets.
- 4
Follow-up
We come back to check activity and adjust the setup until it's done.
- 5
Guarantee
Written guarantee. If activity resumes during the covered period, we return at no charge.
Why act fast
One mouse quickly becomes a family: a female can have a litter every month. Rodents chew electrical wiring, a real fire hazard, and contaminate surfaces and food everywhere they go. The longer you wait, the deeper they settle into the structure.
Rodents often get in through the same gaps as insects. Have a look at our pages on ants and cockroaches. Local? See our exterminator in Brossard page.
Frequently asked questions
Mouse or rat: how can I tell?
Dropping size is the best clue: rice grains for mice, raisins for rats. The sounds differ too: mice scurry lightly, rats sound heavier. The inspection confirms it, and the treatment is adjusted accordingly.
Is one mouse a big deal?
A mouse out in daylight usually means the nest is already busy. They breed fast: better one inspection now than a full infestation by spring.
Are the baits dangerous for my pets?
We use locked, anchored stations placed out of reach. The technician shows you where every station is and what precautions to take, which are minimal in the vast majority of cases.
How do I keep them from coming back?
Sealing entry points is the real long-term fix. During the inspection we identify every opening and recommend what to seal. Eliminating rodents without blocking the doors just invites the next ones in.
How long does it take to get rid of them?
For a typical mouse infestation, expect two to three weeks between the first treatment and the end of activity. Rats can take a bit longer. The follow-up confirms it's over.
Rodents don't leave a heated house in the middle of winter.
